 Former international and national players of the Handball game and those young trainees, today paid floral tributes to celebrity coach of J&K, Arun Sharma on his birth anniversary at S D Sabha School grounds, old Rehari, here today.

The event was organised by Arun Sharma Sports and Social Welfare Trust in support with Arun Sharma Handball Academy.

Part of the gathering, those former top Handball players of J&K shared their experiences as a trainee of the former J&K Sports Council coach, Arun Sharma, who retired as Sports Officer.

The function was also joined by the members of the management and Principal of S D Sabha School. Speaking on the occasion, former Handball players were of the views that J&K has not been able to get the replacement of Arun Sharma as a coach, who during his career produced many international players, especially from Jammu Region.

“The Trust is thankful to the entire Handball fraternity of J&K, who always come forward for the cause of game, for their support and guidance,” said member trustee of Arun Sharma Sports and Social Welfare Trust, Ashutosh Sharma.

Important to mention here that the Trust has recently started a Handball Academy in the name of coach, Arun Sharma to groom and support those youngsters from the Union Territory.

Part of their social responsibility, the Trust donated two standing fans to the S D Sabha School.
